Can you send me samples?
While we would love to get our yummy, organic products into the mouths of everyone that requests them, we’re very sorry but it’s not something we are able to do at this time.
Are your products available in Canada?
A limited number of our products are available in Canada. You can find a list of these products and the stores that carry them here.
How long are products good for after opening?
For optimal quality and freshness, we do recommend that you refrigerate any open pouch that’s not yet empty, and consume the contents within 24 hours.
Is packaging recyclable?
Unfortunately, the pouch is currently not recyclable because of the multi-layer of foil. However, our pouch is still considered an industry wide eco-alternative because of its lightweight and size, all of which contributes to less breakage, food waste and lighter freight. Additionally, the resealable cap is a #2 plastic so that is indeed highly recyclable and we encourage that at the very least. However, many recycling facilities can’t process pouch caps because they’re too small. So we’ve devised a plan! Plum’s partnered with the good folks at Preserve to create a cap recycling program. All you have to do is drop Plum caps in a Preserve recycling bin at your local grocery store. You can learn more here.
Do you offer coupons?
Yes, we often offer coupons through our Facebook page as well as our Club Plum newsletter. Become a fan on Facebook.com/plumorganics and sign up for Club Plum here.
What does it mean to be USDA Certified Organic?
Implemented in 2002, the USDA Organics certification system went through over a decade of development. For packaged foods, only products that contain at least 95% organically produced ingredients (the other 5% must come from an approved National Organic Program list) can use the seal on its packaging and must be made in facilities that are certified to meet strict USDA Organic guidelines. Certified by an independent third-party, all USDA Certified Organic products must show documentation that allows full traceability from the retailer shelves to the field where the organic ingredients were grown.
