Consider yourself an expert worrier? This Mother’s Day, hear from a mom who’s been there.
You know that feeling like someone else’s entire life is hanging in the balance and you’re the only person who can save them and each decision you make is charting the course of that person’s entire future but you’re not even sure if you’re doing it right? That’s called being a mom. And I’m here to tell you that that feeling is never going away. Except maybe when your children are changing your diapers and worrying about you instead.
But for now, if you’re like me, you get to question, second guess and lose sleep over these things for about 60 more years. Should I have pulled out the pacifier sooner so she doesn’t need braces? Do I feed her enough veggies? Should I be introducing kale? Are we starting kindergarten too soon? Are all of these decisions I’ve made great ones?
Uh uh. Hell no. No ones are. Not one single person has this parenting thing completely figured out. Even though it kinda looks that way on Instagram. Do yourself a favor and find a way to let some of theworry go. Maybe you need a
mantra, maybe you need to talk it out. Maybe you just need a shower. Do whatever you have to do to
worry a tiny bit less, and enjoy it all a tiny bit more. ‘Cause you got this. Love, A Mom Who’s Been There
